THE AMAZING MINERALS OF ARIZONA
Listen to the tale of Jacob Waltz as you travel the Apache Trail and The Superstition Mountains, home of the “Lost Dutchman”. Follow in the footsteps of Arizona’s history. The state is full of exciting old ghost towns and mineral rich hillsides.

Since before the time of the Conquistadors and their quest for the Seven Cities of Gold, native cultures have been mining gems, silver, gold and copper for their artistry.  The valuable jewelry was often used as tender to trade for  the items they needed and were not available.

Arizona is also home to Meteor Crater and believe us when we tell you pieces of the meteor that struck east of Flagstaff 50,000 years ago can still be found all over the state.

Fossils and gemstones, lava tubes, caves and craters, hot springs and waterfalls, Arizona has some incredible places to explore.

My Arizona Guide can share with you some of the interesting geology and dramatic features of the Grand Canyon State. Going into any open mine or buildings can be dangerous. Travel the back country with an experienced guide. “My Arizona Guide”.
